Chinchilla's Story

Rescue

Diagnose

Diagnose

Chinchilla was found struggling at the surface, unable to dive due to a carapace injury. Upon intake, bloodwork revealed clear signs of starvation, indicating he had been unable to dive and forage for some time.

Diagnose

Diagnose

Diagnose

Radiographs revealed a spinal injury and several carapace fractures. The pattern of damage suggests blunt force trauma, though the more circular shape makes it unclear whether the injury was caused by a boat strike.
